Hayahay Massage & Wellness – Calgary was founded by husband and wife team Niño Jumawid (CEO) and Cynde Wong (Director) — proud immigrants from Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.
Niño Jumawid, the CEO and founder of Hayahay Massage & Wellness in Calgary, is a former seafarer with extensive experience sailing across domestic and international waters. Originally from the Philippines, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge in wellness business management and a deep commitment to client satisfaction. Through his vision and leadership, Hayahay Massage has become a well-respected haven for quality massage therapy, known for its professional service and inviting atmosphere.
Cynde Wong, RMT, serves as the Director and Lead Trainer at Hayahay Massage, where she specializes in the distinct massage techniques developed within the company. With over seven years of professional experience in the massage therapy industry, she is committed to mentoring and equipping aspiring therapists with the skills and knowledge to excel in their craft. In addition to her professional role, Cynde is a devoted mother of three, seamlessly balancing her dedication to wellness education with her commitment to family life.
Meet our Team of RMTs
Our team of registered massage therapists is highly trained and experienced in a variety of massage techniques. As RMTs, each member of our team has completed a minimum of 2,200 hours of massage therapy education from an accredited school, and we use our knowledge to create customized treatment plans for clients.
Stella Maris
– Manager, Hayahay Massage
Stella Maris came to Canada as an international student and earned her Diploma in Medical Office Assistance from Bow Valley College. She now manages Hayahay Massage, overseeing daily operations and ensuring excellent client service. Alongside her role, she also works at Jollibee Macleod and as a childcare provider., reflecting her dedication and strong work ethic.
Before moving to Canada, Stella served three undefeated terms as a Municipal Councilor in Dauis, Bohol, Philippines. She continues to pursue new opportunities in Canada with the same passion and determination that define her career.
Jhee-An
– Supervisor, Hayahay Massage
Originally from Pagadian, Philippines, Jhee-An has an administrative background and now serves as a part-time Supervisor at Hayahay Massage. A devoted wife and mother, she strives to build a better future for her family. While she may appear strict at first, her warm and approachable nature quickly shines through.
Modesta “Dhez” Raguro
– Senior Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Modesta “Dhez” Raguro, originally from Tabuk City, Kalinga, Philippines, came to Canada as a contract worker before pursuing studies to become a massage therapist. Her journey to permanent residency was marked by challenges, but she remains deeply grateful for the experiences that strengthened her resilience and determination.
As one of the pioneering therapists at Hayahay Massage, Dhez has been an integral part of the clinic’s growth and success since its early beginnings.
Walaipun “Su” Changpapin
– Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Walaipun “Su” Changpapin hails from a small village in northeastern Thailand and was already an experienced massage therapist before moving to Canada.
Known for her calm and gentle demeanor, Su brings a soothing presence to every client she serves, embodying patience and tranquility in her practice.
Adora Tuyor
– Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Adora Tuyor, from Tambo, Mabini, Bohol, Philippines, is the primary supporter of her family. Before becoming a massage therapist, she took on various jobs, including cleaning work, and also works as a Health Care Aide.
Her life experiences have shaped her into a resilient and hardworking professional, dedicated to providing excellent care to her clients.
Jenelyn Delito
– Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Jenelyn Delito, from San Roque, Mabini, Bohol, brings a diverse background to her role as a full-time massage therapist at Hayahay Massage. Before entering the wellness industry, she worked for many years in the food sector and co-owned the renowned Tting’s Pizza in Corella, Bohol, with her husband.
Despite her success as a business owner, Jenelyn moved to Canada to follow her true passion for massage therapy, dedicating herself to helping clients achieve wellness and relaxation.
Maureen Escalera
– Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Maureen Escalera, from Poblacion, Alburquerque, Bohol, is a Registered Nurse by profession. Known for her strength and resilience, she is admired by friends and family alike for her unwavering spirit.
As a massage therapist, Maureen combines her nursing knowledge with her expertise in massage therapy, delivering care that is both professional and deeply restorative.
Arlyn

Arlyn, from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, previously worked as a teacher. She brings that same dedication to guidance and mentorship to her role as a massage therapist and trainer at Hayahay Massage.
Known for her leadership and passion for wellness, Arlyn is recognized as a potential future owner of her own massage clinic.
Maria
– Massage Therapist, Hayahay Massage
Maria, a proud member of the Igorot tribe from Benguet Province, Philippines, is a skilled massage therapist who also works for a manufacturing company in Calgary.
Interestingly, she previously trained Niño at the same company, unaware at the time that she possessed a remarkable talent and passion for massage therapy—skills she now brings to her clients at Hayahay Massage.
Rica Ngarangad
– Massage Therapist & Trainer, Hayahay Massage
Originally from Bangued, Abra in the Philippines, Rica brings a remarkable combination of commitment and expertise to Hayahay Massage. Before pursuing her passion for wellness, she gained valuable experience in Canada’s food service industry, where she honed her interpersonal and customer service skills.
She later completed formal training in therapeutic massage at Makami College, developing advanced techniques and a client-focused approach. We’re proud to have her as part of our team of skilled massage therapists.
Rhona Sario

Hailing from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Jennalyn is a skilled student massage therapist committed to providing client-centered, professional care. Her approach combines precision with a calming touch, reflecting her deep dedication to the practice of massage therapy.
Despite being early in her career, Jennalyn exhibits remarkable professionalism and is on track to become a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) by March next year.
